He confused his frequent flyer number with his son’s birthday and his family’s confusion made no sense until, hey, they were in Maui, right?

The boy said, it’s freezing in here. The mother said, It’s colder outside. The father said, I have bills to pay. The boy said, I don’t care.

He breaks things not because he’s sloppy but because he doesn’t care. He enjoys what his apathy does to his mother. He’s never forgiven her.

When my kid said “don’t touch my candy” I thought he meant “eat all of it.” And then I told him, “Son I’m just losing my paternal instinct.”
