I was born in Montreal a long time ago. Some days, that time feels longer than other days. My parents were recently arrived immigrants from India. My mother danced. My father was an engineer.
I grew up in the western part of Montreal, mostly around a suburb called Cote St. Luc. I’m not going to post any photos of my childhood here. Ever.
I’m a writer. I also edit magazines and work in the kind of media company that makes me use words like “engagement” and “platform agnostic” a lot. I run my own consultancy and I also have a podcast. I’ve written a book of short stories, and two novels, and I used to do this strange thing on Twitter. That is, before Twitter became a hellhole receptacle for the world’s angry and needy. I’m no longer really on Twitter. I’m not overly fond of social media anymore to be honest.
I have a lovely wife who makes incredible ceramics and we have a great son. And a cute dog. I still live in Montreal because I think it’s kind of awesome.
